Here at Voyage Care we are looking for a registered nurse to assist one of our service users in Skipton - North Yorkshire.

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who would relish the opportunity to prove excellent, one-to-one nursing care to a vibrant, young woman who lives with a unique chronic condition?
In this role your duties would include concise observation/monitoring and obtaining regular blood sugars. You should feel comfortable working autonomously in an accountable role, have the ability to follow a personalised, clinical pathway and respond to this young lady's changing needs.
Accurate record keeping and exemplary documentation is imperative to ensure continuity of care. You would be working alongside family, medical team, Medical Detection Dog and Consultant in addition to being given all the relevant training required to care for this young lady safely in a collaborative approach.
This position would be nights with the possibility in the future of daytime hours on a permanent contract and/or flexible contract providing nursing services. If successful, you will focus on the provision of high quality, safe and effective care. You will deliver, person centred care, within her clinical care package on a shift basis.
Specific role requirements: car driver particularly for daytime hours.

You will need; to hold a Registered Nurse qualification; have at least 3 years' experience; ideally community experience; coupled with current practical clinical skills and a working knowledge of caring people with medical needs. Have ideally experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, PEG, cough assist for example and be able to follow and respond to changing needs of the people we support.
