Job Description

Prestige Nursing Manchester Branch are the leading Care provider to private Case Management companies and NHS CCG's.

Owing to the excellent service quality we provide our Clients we require a team of Registered Nurses to care for an individual who lives in Denton, Manchester who has an acquired brain injury.

Our Client suffered their brain injury owing to a road traffic accident and is now left with physical, cognitive and behavioural difficulties. His mobility is restricted and he will at times use a manual wheelchair. He has Type 1 diabetes for which he is prescribed insulin injections.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills with specific training from the Manchester diabetes centre (up to 5 days DAFNE course) while delivering care within their own home.

Undertaking a range of duties to support the Client, you will work closely with other members of the team in providing the highest standards of health care.

We're looking for motivated and enthusiastic people who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, backed by previous experience of managing an individual with challenging behaviour and diabetes (preferred), however, full training will be given to those with the right approach and attitude.

Key to the role will be helping the client to develop and maintain an independent lifestyle.

The post requires you to work alongside a support worker as part of a team to provide 2:1 support 24/7.

The post requires that you work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer. Reliability, integrity and complete trustworthiness are essential attributes.

Our Client will have his own vehicle, which the nurse would be asked to drive on behalf of the client, alternately with the support worker, so a full valid driving licence is essential.

Shift patterns will vary, some being 12 hours and you will be required to do sleeping nights.

The rates of pay are extremely good, from £18.36 to £27.50, depending on time of week, with £16.00 for sleeping nights.

In addition, we also pay holiday pay, which increase these rates by 12% to a very competitive £20.25 to £30.80 depending on time of week, with £17.92 for sleeping nights.

The team here at the branch are always friendly and supportive resulting in a happy and loyal workforce.

As you can see, the work is extremely interesting, varied and challenging so if you're looking for a Registered Nurse role with scope to help you grow, then please apply.
