The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role

This is a lovely opportunity to work in a diverse role where you make a direct and positive impact to the lives of people with learning difficulties. Our service users have varied needs and require support with all areas of care.

The Role:

This is a varied, challenging and incredibly rewarding role where you will get to know our service users and support their wellbeing. You will work from our Day Service Units in Kendal. You will also be required to provide a Day Service for some people from their own homes based in Kendal and Burneside. You will have a person centred approach and be willing to support people to access the community and to take part in a variety of activities. Our service users have varied needs and you will be required to assist and support some people with personal care which may include washing, changing and feeding.

Who we are looking for:

We're looking for someone who is caring, positive and passionate about supporting our service users. The ideal candidate would be a strong communicator who acts with empathy. Qualifications related to Learning Disabilities and Social Care is desirable, but we are also more than happy to support candidates through this with training and development. Car driver preferred but not essential.

Overall, the ideal candidate would be positive, enthusiastic, open, flexible and willing to take part in all areas of work.
