We are seeking a driven, organised and proactive Research Scientist with experience in fermentation development to join a Cambridge based company. You will be responsible for developing fermentation processes with close liaison with scientists researching the physiology and function of novel bacteria.
Requirements
? A PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g. Microbiology or Bioprocess Engineering or a closely related subject) or a BSc in Microbiology or Bioprocess Engineering plus two years of experience in a bioprocess development environment utilising fermentation technology
? Experience in a bioprocess development environment utilising fermentation technology to grow bacteria
? The ability to design, execute and document experimental activities to a high standard
? The ability to work independently
? A natural sense of organisation and teamwork, as well as a collaborative approach in sharing know-how and expertise in a multidisciplinary environment
? Good presentational skills, both oral and written
? Flexibility to work in a new and dynamic company
