Job Description

Horizon Care are seeking to recruit a Residential Care Worker to join the team. This is a bank role working on an hourly rate

What we do

We care for young people who have been adversely affected by circumstance and are emotionally vulnerable and sometimes challenging. Our staff are therapeutically trained and are supported by fully qualified psychologists. Our practice is underpinned by a clear therapeutic ethos and values. Our family sized properties offer a welcoming and homely environment.

What we ask of our colleagues

We recognise that children and young people have a diverse range of needs and we aim to ensure that we see every child as an individual and meet their needs accordingly.  As such we welcome applications from people with all sorts of backgrounds.

Our people work in small teams with a typical shift pattern being 2 days on, including sleep shifts, and 4 days off.  After holidays this means you’ll be working less than 110 days per year, unless you choose to work paid overtime, giving you a fantastic opportunity for work-life balance.

Our staff come from all backgrounds and often have experience and skills gained in a variety of different roles and environments. 

Role purpose:

Our Residential Care Worker you will be responsible to the Home Manager as a member of the staff team for the direct care of the children and young people and other supportive tasks and duties.
