Supporting young individuals aged between 16-18 to build their Independence. Working to build positive working relationships and provide guidance.

Client Details

Our client is a leading provider of semi-independent accommodation for young people. The support those leaving care and seeking Independence through education, work and social support. There are a number of locations around West Sussex designed to provide the best opportunities and support for the young people.


As a Youth Support Worker in West Sussex you will be responsible for:

Working independently with young people to provide emotional, and mental support for our young people.Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff and professionals by communicating effectively at all times. Preparing for Independence - money management, housing, rights and responsibilities, health, volunteering, safety, relationships, running a household and employment, education or training.De-escalating situations and working with the young people to provide the best solutions


The successful Youth Support Worker will have the following:

  • Experience working in a similar settings with young people
  • Understanding and working with themes such as Mental Health and Anxiety
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults) - We can apply if necessary
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • As Agency Youth Support Worker you will be:

    • Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of the young people
    • Confident and competent working independently in accommodation and living spaces
    • Available to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyle

Job Offer
