RGN Nurse Team Leader

We require a Registered General Nurse who has current experience in a clinical lead role to start in this full time permanent position for a 19 year old bright, outgoing and fun-loving young woman with a passion for stand-up comedy, theatre and baking. She sustained an Acquired Brain Injury in her early teens, as a result she has a physical disability and is a wheelchair user. She has complex medical needs including a permanent tracheostomy and catheter. She lives at home with her family in a fully adapted house with two dogs. One of which is an assistance dog.
We are recruiting a full care team to provide round the clock assistance and require an experience RGN Nurse Lead to manage the care team. As the RGN Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of support workers, organising rotas, training, updating care plans, following therapy programmes, arranging team meetings, supervisions etc. You will be required to work a mixture of day and waking night shifts (3 x 12 hour). Our Client has complex medical needs and can deteriorate quickly, she requires support with all aspects of daily activities, personal care routine, accessing the community and participating in activities. You will work closely with the MDT and family to further develop self-help and independent living skills. You will need to be a driver for this role.
This job will suit an experienced RGN with a team/nurse lead background. Ideally you will have worked within a family setting and can demonstrate a clear understanding of the difference between working in a home versus a clinical ward setting and apply this to your role. You will be an RGN who lives on, or who is willing to relocate to the Isle of Wight, someone who is a confident driver and can commit to a full-time contract, on a permanent basis.
