We are currently looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses and Registered Learning Disability Nurses for a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit in Roehampton, London.
This adult mental health hospital in London, specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of adults experiencing a sudden mental health crisis and who pose a high risk to themselves or others. Many of their patients present with multiple difficulties and need immediate inpatient treatment in a safe setting. They provide a Psychiatric Intensive Care Service (PICU) for men and women as well as an acute service for men.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients / residents
• Assessment of care and health education needs
• Care planning
• Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient
• To take charge of the ward/department/unit in the absence of senior nursing staff following performance review
About You
• Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse
• Ideally have previous experience in a similar setting
• Preceptorships available for newly qualified nurses
• A passion for working within a mental health setting
