My client is a leading research and development organisation that cover full product innovation to mass production on numerous sites across the UK. They supply R&D services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
They are currently looking to recruit an Account Developer / Sales Consultant to increase market awareness, generate leads and increase their client base, as part of the Inside Sales team. You will achieve this through a high degree of direct contact with prospective clients including by telephone, email and direct mail based on both inbound and outbound leads
Ideally you will have experience which relates to the BioPharma space, and/or a Scientific degree, as well as real drive and passion to grow and learn, in turn helping to generate new business.
This role will be home based with a focus on expanding the European market, and working with the wider Inside Sales team based in the US.

* Nurturing leads generated through the website, marketing campaigns, tradeshows, ecommerce and the client's customer service line; this may include following up on document downloads, evaluating lead sheets and contact lists provided by third parties, converting business cards into accounts/contacts in SF, generating lead lists from tradeshow events, FierceBio emails, Zymewire, etc * Engaging in preliminary high level technical discussions with potential clients * Prospecting and cold calling to generate new sales opportunities by researching and identifying appropriate accounts and contacts using third party lists and emails, BioPharm Insight, Zymewire, web searches, etc. * Qualifying and driving sales leads through the sales pipeline, documenting all actions and touch points in Salesforce * Passing along warm leads to BD and expediting the process by starting the CDA process, distributing initial RH questionnaires, etc. * Monitoring Scientist, Science Exchange and other similar sites for leads/opportunities and driving the sales process, taking the lead on quote submission, etc. * Conducting market analysis as needed on certain business segments or capabilities to identify and assess competition, understand customer behaviour/interests and market trends, determine demographics, etc. * Further developing existing accounts by checking customer's buying history and working with the current BD rep to suggest related and new items, explaining features, function, benefit and proof as needed * Promote the company, our values and the brand at all times * This position may require up to 10% of time for travel * Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practice
* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent. Ideally in the scientific field * Research, manufacturing, engineering, and/or chemical experience a plus * Proficiency in Salesforce system * Proficiency in software related to Windows including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * Strong business judgement and acumen * Strong professional communication skills, verbal and written * Ability to manage time appropriately; work in a fast paced environment and multi-task, all while paying close attention to detail * Strong organisation skills * Ability to evaluate processes and procedures, identify bottlenecks and work to find improvements for operational efficiency * Ability to quickly and eagerly learn new products/services and system
