Theatre-Scrub
Surrey
Permanent, FT - 37.5 hrs PW
up to £32,000 depending on experience

Client Information:            
Our client is a large hospital offering a comprehensive rang of general and acute services across the Surrey area. They also provide day surgery, outpatients, endoscopy, chemotherapy and diagnostics across a number of their sites. The hospital itself is located in a beautiful idyllic town and only 30mins commute to Central London and surrounded by unspoilt countryside.
 
Opportunities:      
We are looking to recruit experienced Scrub Nurses to join the department of the hospital. This hospital fully supports nurses who want to progress and develop in their career and they pride themselves on their further education opportunities.  
     
Working in Theatre you will report into the Theatre Manager you will be responsible for assessing, planning and implementing the right standards of care to all patients who are undergoing surgical procedures. Your day to day will involve preparing the equipment and instruments according to the needs of the patient and the surgeon's specifications, updating the surgeon's preference cards, ensuring all equipment is checked prior to use, reporting any faults immediately and working as part of a cohesive team. You may also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.          
To be considered for this role you will have at least one years' experience working as a nurse and a keen interest in further developing your skills set. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
