The hospital is a specialist provider of cardiac, cancer and neurology care to adults and children, including young babies. With their state of the art facilities spanned across various clinic sites they are able to offer the most advanced treatments to their patients.
Opportunities: We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Anaesthetic Nurse or ODP to join the theatre team of this hospital.
As a Senior member of the team you will be responsible for ensuring that the right standard of care is given to patients at all times. Part of your day to day will involve the delegation and supervision of junior members of staff, working with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the correct protocols and standards are being followed at all times and assisting the team in the organisation and management of the theatre department. You will also be required to be fully aware of the resources within the department and are working to ensure that these are being utilised effectively. You will work to ensure all of the consultants requirements are being met and that they are getting the assistance they need within the theatre department. Part of your role will require you to be involved with infection control standards, maintaining records and working to achieve the team objectives.
To be considered for this role you would have you will have a relevant anaesthetic nurse qualification or operating department practitioner qualification. Ideally you will have at least 2+ years experience working in anaesthetic's and experience in Cardiac and or Neuro. Part of this role involves having an innate attention to detail with a strong ability to work well under pressure. You will adapt easily to situations and be a good communicator within a team. Computer competency would also be a vital part of the role.
