About the role
Gracewell of Ascot, a purpose built, luxury residential nursing and dementia care home situated right in the heart of the local community opening September 2018. Our stunning new home will provide the very best in high quality care for 80 residents. Each resident receives a tailored care plan, personalised with their individual needs in mind.
Gracewell of Ascot located in a beautiful area of Berkshire is easily accessible from a number of local towns including Chertsey, Windsor, Wokingham and Bracknell. Our residential care home's location means that we're within walking distance of the famous Ascot racecourse, Ascot train station and the main high street.
Working as part of a highly committed team the Senior Care Assistant is one of the fundamental roles within our communities. As Senior Care Assistant you will put the residents care and well-being at the heart of everything you do. We pride ourselves on the warmth and support we provide to our residents and their families. We promote independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.
Our shifts are 8am to 8.15pm and 8.15pm to 8am. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who wish to work Nights.
As Senior Care Assistant you will assist with daily activities providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care as needed. As Senior Care Assistant you will be responsible for the smooth running of the shift, you will assign specific tasks to the care assistants and monitor their completion.
You will develop, review and update the residents personal care plan to meet their changing physical, social and psychological needs. You will promote high standards of care by ensuring all team members are trained and supervised appropriately and you will communicate professionally and warmly with visitors family members, and other health care professionals.
