Immediate Response Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to work within an exceptional nursing home situated in West Bromwich. The nursing home is devoted to providing compassionate support to residents and their loved ones.  Job Purpose:

To achieve the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner. As a Senior Care Assistant, you would provide an essential role in contributing to the smooth running of the home.

 Main Responsibilities:

This role will give you the opportunity to use your management skills to ensure a high level of quality care is being delivered by the team

Allocating duties to a team of Health Care Assistants and manage the floor

Responsible for caring for people with a wide range of needs as well as dispensing medication.

Be responsible for the ordering, administration, and auditing of prescribed Medication 

Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you will champion the dignity, and independence of all the residents

Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be in charge of and work with the night team to assist the residents, so their care and support needs are met during the night. In addition to this you will delegate tasks and responsibilities to the team on shift, making sure all residents’ needs and wishes are met.

Skills and qualifications needed:

Experience as a Senior Care Assistant

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Medication Trained

NVQ Level 2 Qualification 

 Service Type: Care of elderly with dementia, physical disability, and old age.

Service Details - Nursing Home registered with a maximum of 27 service users. They are rated highly on (url removed) and have several fantastic reviews left by services users and relatives of services users

Wage:  £9.25 - £10ph depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: Guarenteed 36 hours a week with loads of overtime available 

Shifts: Night Shifts
