Senior Endoscopy Nurse (Monday - Friday 32 hours)


Chatham, Kent


£30,000 - £43,000

Senior Endoscopy Nurse required for this private hospital in Chatham in Kent. One of the largest providers of private healthcare in the UK with 40 hospitals and 10 clinics employing 8000 staff and treating 950,000 patients each year.

They offer treatment for private patients, funded by health insurance, those choosing to pay for themselves and NHS patients under the government's Choose and Book system. This hospital has 30 beds across 2 wards including 2 theatres and endoscopy suite catering for acute, medical and surgical procedures.

In this post you will manage the endoscopy service and lead the team in the provision of care for patients in a safe and caring environment, in the most efficient and clinically effective way, whilst maintaining high standards of care

Duties and responsibilities

  • *Caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
    *Working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
    *According to an individual patients needs, being able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate their care

REQUIREMENTS

  • NMC trained
  • Knowledge of endoscopy surgical procedures and competent across a range of endoscopy skills
  • Effective leadership and management skills
  • Previous experience as an Endoscopy lead (Desirable)
  • Previous experience with the JAG accreditation process (Desirable)
  • Minor procedures and mentorship (Desirable)

This role is 32 hours per week Monday - Friday.

Excellent salary £29,000 - £43,000 DOE plus thorough training, ongoing support and reward schemes including life, private and medical insurance, discount rewards and 33 annual holidays
