Job Summary
UK Care and Nursing are currently recruiting for a Senior Healthcare Assistant on behalf of our client within the Somerset area. Our client has numerous Care homes throughout the UK and are currently recruiting in Somerset. The successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to residents within a care home environment whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. The successful Senior will be responsible for care assistants and will report directly to the senior nurse or Registered manager.

Job Role
The successful candidate will:-
• Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality care to residents
• Assist the nurses and Senior Staff in providing the highest possible standards of care to all clients ensuring compliance with Company Policy and Procedures
• Supervise and support care assistants in their role
• Dispense prescribed medication to residents in accordance with individual care plans and ensure that actions are correctly recorded
• Contribute to the induction of new employees as required and monitor their standards and performance
• Work as a part of a team, communicating positively and showing respect for colleagues and residents at all times
• Attend all staff and other meetings and compulsory training courses when required
