West End London

£38,500 to £42,500

Senior Nurse required for a private skin and eye clinic in central London. An excellent opportunity to work within this lucrative location and carve your career in Ophthalmology in a reputable clinic.

Our Client

Our client is situated in a convenient location and are accredited with the major health and professional speciality bodies to carry out aesthetic and medical treatments at the highest levels and offer expertise in skin and eye conditions.

The Role

The main purpose of the role of the nurse is to provide expert and specialist support to the MDT in the effective delivery of treatment to patients undergoing Ophthalmic procedures. The nurse is in a top team position and performs technical tests, provides clinical ophthalmic, dermatologic and aesthetic advice to patients under the guidance of the medical Consultant.

The nurse has responsibilities for and is accountable for their own patients in their areas of specialism, including dry eyes, Ultherapy, Intraceuticals, eye injections, skin biopsies etc as well as dispensing drugs.

Key duties include: -

  • Assisting with the delivery of Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine
  • Assisting with stock, equipment and medication ordering
  • Pharmacy labelling and dispensing
  • Providing support to Consultants before and during patient consultations
  • Carrying out diagnostic testing and medical procedures
  • Helping to provide training and mentoring to the other nurses and administrative staff

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have: -

  • NMC registration (Nursing)
  • Experience of working within Ophthalmology
  • Leadership experience - Nurse in charge, stock orders, CQC experience
  • Supervision of others

Salary Our client is offering a very attractive salary £38,500 - £42,500

You will be required to work an early, middle or late shift between the hours of 8:30am and 7pm Monday to Friday as well as the occasional Saturday morning.
