On behalf of our client, a new COVID DHSC testing facility, we are looking to recruit a Senior Occupational Health Nurse to work with the senior leadership team on developing, implementing, and managing occupational health programmes.

This role will initially be a 6 - 12 month fixed term contract with potential to be extended or become a permanent position.

Basic Requirements:

* BSc in Nursing and appropriate qualifications to practice in the UK

* Occupational Health Nursing Qualification – minimum diploma level

* Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience along with minimum of 2 years occupational health nesting experience

* Previous experience of working as an Occupational Health Worker in a large or mid-sized company/institution

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide support to employees and where appropriate, refer to health professionals

* Liaise with GPs, physiotherapists, or specialists as required

* Perform new starter health assessments

* Maintain medical records

* Maintain confidentiality of employee health information and occupational health notes

* Assess, manage, and undertake health surveillance and health assessments

* Work with the Health and Safety team developing appropriate risk assessments such as DSE, maternity or workplace ergonomics

* Support Health and Safety managers to assess level of risk and determine first aid requirements

* Develop, conduct & manage physical and mental health promotion

* Generate written reports to management

* Ensure to comply with statutory legislation and corporate Occupational Health requirements at all times
