The successful Paediatric Junior Sister will have exceptional time management skills. You will have the opportunity to cover a range of specialties, whilst working directly alongside the Consultants and deputise the Paediatric Lead Sister.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Deputy Paediatric Sister will care for babies, children and young people up to the age of 18 years. Spire Leeds Hospital actively encourages professional development and offers a comprehensive in-house training programme. You will be flexible in your approach and be proactive to improve the hospital experience for babies, children, young people and their families. You will on occasions be required to work night shifts and weekends. Annualized hours and flexible working hours are required within this post.
Who we're looking for
The Successful Deputy Paediatric Sister will support the lead nurse for children in ensuring all members of the paediatric team, both substantive and bank contracted deliver effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership. You will act as a senior resource for advice and support in all aspects of care for children and young people and their families. You will be required to develop practice in the assessment of children and young people's health and well-being needs.
You will have an RNC or equivalent, Safeguarding training level 3, EPLS or equivalent, teaching/mentor qualification and must have a willingness to undertake further training
