Due to a secondment we have the opportunity to offer a 6 month fixed term position to our neuroscience rotation. It is possible that further opportunities may arise to extend this role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking physiotherapist with relevant neurological experience to join our dynamic Physiotherapy Neuroscience team.

North Bristol Trust is the regional centre for Neurosurgery, Neurology and Neuropsychiatry and stroke management (including thrombolysis) It is a Major Trauma Centre.

The post holder will have the opportunity to develop neurology skills across the whole of the neuroscience service including stroke ESD.

This post will provide opportunities to develop a range of Neurological Physiotherapy skills in acute and community settings supported experienced physiotherapy teams, opportunities for CPD and through regular supervision.

In addition, the successful candidate will need to be able to participate in the supervision and teaching of physiotherapists, support staff, and physiotherapy students and to participate in the weekend rota.The post-holder will need knowledge and experience in the treatment and management of neurological patients and a problem solving approach to patient management, advanced communication and interpersonal skills plus the ability to support and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
