This role involves investigating the immunological response of novel candidates including both practical laboratory work and managing relationships with academic collaborators and CRO's.
Taking a lead role in designing, and performing studies aimed at assessing the efficacy and safety of novel therapeutics.
Developing in-house techniques, analyses and problem solving to generate key data for drug development projects.
Interpreting data (own and from other team members/partners) to create and develop hypotheses, study designs, and/or methods
Providing technical & scientific input and guidance to help shape therapeutic project strategy; may take on project leadership activities as needed.
Effectively and proactively communicating study designs/plans, data, interpretations/hypotheses as well as potential next steps in an appropriate and timely manner (both verbal and written) with line manager, other team members and project teams.
Skills and Experience
Relevant life sciences degree/PhD
Relevant academic or industrial research in the fields of immunology and drug discovery.
In vitro (and in vivo) immunology studies and assays
Experience of preclinical evaluation of immunomodulatory agents.
Candidates must have demonstrable strong and effective team and communication skills
