Client Information:  
Our client is one of London's leading private hospitals with over 30 years of experience providing world class healthcare. The hospital is a specialist provider of cardiac services, neurosurgery, liver and HPB medicine, rehabilitation, gynaecology, orthopaedics, and other services. With their state of the art facilities spanned across various clinic sites they are able to offer the most advanced treatments to their patients.
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse in Cardiology for this hospital.  On this ward they treat cardiac medical, surgical, intervention and thoracic cases.
Reporting into the charge nurse/sister you will play and instrumental part, as a senior member of staff, ensuring that the highest standard of care is provided. You will take full responsibility of the unit in the absence of the charge nurse. Part of your role will involve ensuring that appropriate mentors are in place for student nurses so they can avail of working in a challenging environment. Part of your day to day will involve creating individualised care plans for all patients on the unit, ensuring a caring and safe environment is available for patients and their families at all times. You will also act as a support to junior members of staff and work to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within the standard timescales.
Working hours are based on a rotational shift pattern       
To be considered for this role you will have NMC registration along with a leadership or mentorship course. Experience of working in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and/or Cardiothoracic surgery is essential. You will also have experience of working with acute/chronically ill patients and the ability to recognise cardiac rhythms. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
