We are currently looking to recruit some Senior Oncology Staff Nurses to join a brand new facility opening in Central London. This facility will boast a state of the art outpatient diagnostic and cancer treatment centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oncology nurse to develop their own team within the facility with support from sister facilities.
Working alongside the Chief Nursing Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all times and ensuring it adheres to the vision of the hospital. You and the team will act as a support network to all patients and their families while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment at all times. Your day to day will involve leading the clinical management of the ward, acting as a mentor to all junior staff members, operational management to include staff rotas and financial budgets. You will also play a key role in the planning and implementation of new policies and procedures in line with current practices in Oncology care.
To be considered for this role you will have at extensive experience of working in oncology nursing. Ideally you would have completed a Chemotherapy course however this can be offered to the right candidates. Working as a senior staff nurse you will be required to be a good team leader to junior members of staff and the ability to take control of shift when required. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
