Central London             
Permanent, FT - 37.5 hrs              
Up to £44,500

Client Information:         
Our client is one of London's leading private hospitals with over 30 years of experience providing world class healthcare. The hospital is a specialist provider of cardiac, cancer and neurology care to adults and children, including young babies. With their state of the art facilities spanned across various clinic sites they are able to offer the most advanced treatments to their patients.        
We are currently looking to recruit some Senior PICU to work at one of their facilities based in Central London.    
Working as a senior staff nurse on the unit you will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standard of care is provided to patients and their families at all times, while being responsible and accountable for the nursing management of a designated area. Your responsibility will include the supervision of junior members of staff and acting as a role model for the team with the overall aim of enhancing the patient experience and improving patient outcomes. Your day to day will involve ensuring each patient is assessed and their care planned, implemented and negotiated with their families and documented correctly. You will also act as an advocate for the child and their families ensuring the provision of appropriate information and support services. Working in this role will involve the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information to patients and their families and helping them to overcome any barriers to understanding, while also providing support during distressing or emotional events . You will also assist in the development and review of policies and standards for the safe use of equipment and any new equipment introduced to the department. Day to day you may also be assigned other ad hoc duties by more senior members of staff.
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working as a Paediatric Nurse or within HDU, PICU or NICU along with RCN NMC registration. You will have a 60 credit Paediatric Intensive Care course and training in leadership and management. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
