Pay: £9.71 per hour
As a Senior Support worker at Ruddington View, you will work with people who have varying degrees of learning disabilities as well as mental health issues to promote independence and support them to lead as fulfilling life as possible.
Overseeing Support Workers, our Senior Support Workers implement care plans for individuals with learning disabilities and other complex needs. You'll operate within the home and local community settings providing hands-on care to the people we support, so you can expect total involvement in everything we do. As part of this role you will need to be experienced in managing a team of support workers and expected to a role model to other staff demonstrating a high level of care at all times.
About the Service:
Ruddington View oﬀers bespoke support for people stepping down from a hospital setting as part of a staged pathway. We offer a safe and comfortable environment for people who may have a history of high risk behavior to themselves or others.
Ruddington View can support up to eight people. We can provide residential care and support for six individuals, and can provide unplanned care and support for two individuals.
We provide excellent training before you start which includes 10 day face to face training (this will include restraint training Mapa2) and you will be supported and welcomed by the team, working several shifts shadowing an experienced Senior Support Worker until fully competent and confident in the role.
Senior Support Workers have a sound experience of supporting people with varying care needs and are essential with leading a team and managing responsibilities of the teams record keeping along with supervising the team on a daily basis and bi-monthly supervision. Previous working within a specialist service i.e mental health is required for this role.
