My client are a large international chemicals company with a site in Southampton. They are looking to hire a Service Chemist to work in the laboratory on a large chemical processing plant, supporting a number of key processes. As a Service Chemist you will work closely with the on-site team to support the provision of contractual services in a safe, efficient and effective application of products, services and technologies.
Main Responsibilities of the service chemist will include;
Routine water and process sample collection, analysis and reporting;
Maintenance of documentation and reports
Managing and maintaining chemical inventory;
Maintaining and developing relationships with client personnel;
Additional duties can include: minor equipment / instrument repair and calibration; recommending changes in chemical dosage, feed rates;
Occasional travel throughout local geographic region may be required.
To be considered for the Service Chemist role you will need;
Relevant industrial experience or a relevant qualification in a technical discipline (Applications shall be considered from both University Graduates and Non-University Graduates)
Good Communication Skills;
Proficient Computer Skills;
Current and valid UK driving license:
A personable and communicative approach;
Strong work ethic and commitment;
Ability to work flexible hours to ensure service delivery;
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
