Job Description

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust provides NHS hospital and community services throughout East Sussex. Westham Ward Acute Frailty and Rheumatology

Sister/Charge Nurse

Band 6, 37.5 and 18.75 hours per week, Internal Rotation

Salary: £30,401 - £37,267 per annum pro rata

Westham Ward is a busy, acute and dynamic 27 bedded General Medical Ward that specialises in Acute Frailty and Rheumatology. The team is both friendly and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care.

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated and positive thinking person, with some previous experience in Leadership within acute medicine, to complete our team, you will provide strong leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and support students and staff with clinical expertise. Previous experience in some of the acute fields of nursing covered by the ward would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising basic standards of care and professionalism. In return we will offer you excellent managerial support and commitment to your personal professional development.

You will need previous experience in an acute setting at Band 5, Mentorship level 3 or the equivalent, with an awareness of current professional and research practice issues.
