Sister Charge Nurse

Location: Surrey - within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 annum / £17.43 - £19.48 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week. (Negotiable DOE)

Bonus: Annual bonus provided.

Hours: Full Time- 37.5 hours

Contract Type: Permanent

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated Sister Charge Nurse to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary and expanding team within a Private Hospital located in Surrey. You will treat NHS & Private Patients and I am looking for a passionate Sister Charge Nurse who will provide the best possible, personalised care to the people of Surrey.

The Key details are:

You will assist with the appropriate management of all resources and will provide effective leadership for the team, either in any designated area of the department or in the absence of the Senior Sister for the department as a whole on an ad hoc basis, to ensure that patient care and safety are maintained and evaluated when on duty. The hospital specialises in Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Colorectal and General surgery. They also have on site Oncologists and Haematologists who offer diagnostic, treatment and supportive pathways with specialist expertise. Cutting edge technology is available on site including a dedicated oncology ward, the latest MRI and CT scanning technology and an on-site pharmacy.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:

  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Experienced in acute nursing care.
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
  • Responsible for day to day management of the Hospital Ward, and its staff.
  • Providing clinical leadership in an effective and efficient management of ward resources, driving clinical excellence in all aspect of care received by patients.
