Job Description

Brand New Role | Office Hours | Supporting Community Services & Domiciliary Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to work in a newly created, position, which will be based in Birmingham City Centre.

The primary focus of the role is to deliver specialist support to Domiciliary Care Managers throughout the UK, advising and supporting on a range of issues in addition to working directly with service users to assess/review their needs, organise support packages and working with/referring to external agencies to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.

 You will work with external agencies such as Child Protection and Mental Health Services and will be required to prepare files for and give evidence in court when required.

What our client is offering the successful Social Worker & details of the role:

  • 37 hours per week, usually working 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • A great annual salary in the region of £27,000 to £29,000 depending on experience
  • Travel to service users homes and other regional offices will be required, with occasional shift work or on-call rotas
  • You will have access to some great training and development opportunities

Job Requirements

What our client is looking for in a Social Worker:

  • A qualified Social Worker (DipSW or equivalent) with HCPC registration
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of community support services and an understanding of the transition from secure settings to community services
  • Knowledge and experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to empathise and build positive relationships with vulnerable adults
  • A driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Flexible to meet the needs of the service
