We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our forward thinking and innovative School Nursing Team in Caerphilly Borough.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and innovative practitioner. The practitioner must be a Registered Nurse with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) -School Nurse qualification.

Our School Nursing Service comprises of skill mix teams that are structured to deliver core and targeted health input through the Healthy Child Wales Programme (0-7) and the Framework for School Nursing in Wales (2017) to all school aged children and their families.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate leadership skills, knowledge, skills and experience to meet the needs of the role. Applications from newly qualified SCPHN- School Nurses are welcomed as we have an excellent preceptorship programme to support your development.

In addition, applicants should have a strong public health focus and be fully committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our school aged population. You would be joining our service at an exciting time as we are currently transforming our service to meet the emotional wellbeing agenda for children and young people in Gwent.

You must be able to meet the geographical needs of the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
