Secondment / Fixed term Contract - 9 to 12 Months
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Occupational Therapy Service for Acute Stroke for 8 months rotating to Emergency medicine for 4 months based at Royal Cornwall Hospital for 12 month secondment or fixed term contract. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the stroke team to provide a 7 day stroke assessment and rehabilitation service and the ED team to provide a 7 day service. Good communication, stroke assessment and rehabilitation skills are essential. You will also need to have good time management, and ability to work under pressure as part of an effective MDT and support weekend working.
Candidates applying for this post must have a good grounding in post graduate rotations. You will need to be confident in your assessments skills, able to formulate rehabilitation programmes, evaluate outcomes and facilitate appropriate discharges.
You will be requires to assist training, offer supervision to more junior staff, and assist the Clinical lead in service delivery and evaluation. You will have support from your Clinical Lead to access supervision and training opportunities.
This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week, flexible across 7 days as needed.
