An outstanding opportunity has arisen for Specialist Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Integrated Therapies service as a senior member of the Pain Management team, to deliver the best possible care for patients referred to our service. You will have a passion for service delivery, and will be a key innovator in the development of treatment techniques and service delivery models. You will have a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience as a therapist. This post would suit someone already working at a Band 7 level or a Band 6 therapist looking to progress to a band 7 position. Applications will be accepted from Therapists currently at Band 7, or at band 6 for a fast tracked development to Band 7.

The Pain Management service is provided by a multidisciplinary team including consultant anaesthetists, advanced practitioners, therapists, and nursing staff. As a senior member within the team you will use your knowledge of best clinical practice to contribute to the development of the Pain Management service of the future, for our patients. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate excellent team working, communication, patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills, and be able to use a biopsychosocial model of health and be able to consider wider psychological frameworks within their practice. Excellent organisational, management and leadership skills, plus a passion for the role are also required.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team including joint working and regular multi-disciplinary case discussions.

Developing our staff is very important to us. We hold regular in-service training and problem solving sessions as well as encouraging staff to fulfil their own learning needs via external courses and learning opportunities.

The Pain Management service thrives on innovation and challenge and is a key component in many developments, which are helping to shape the future of patient pathways within the Trust - reaching out to the local area to provide care within the community we serve.
