An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced pharmacist to play a pivotal role in our service for patients with respiratory illnesses.
This post involves working within our innovative, integrated respiratory team with the opportunity to make a significant contribution to patient care.
The post holder will work closely both with our pharmacy team and the multidisciplinary respiratory team to:
- Provide and further develop high value clinical pharmacy services for patients with respiratory diseases, in both the acute and community setting.
- Contribute pharmacy leadership within the integrated respiratory team, including training, input into clinical guidelines and a shared leadership role in safe oxygen therapy and effective treatment of tobacco dependence
- Provide pharmacist input for the home oxygen review service.
- To work across the hospital-community interface to improve medicines management and reduce waste.
There are excellent opportunities for quality improvement, audit & research and for personal development. You must have at least four years hospital experience, including experience of working with patients with respiratory illnesses. You will also need to have a post graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy.
Whittington Health is an integrated care organisation and a main University Hospital of the combined UCL/Royal Free School of Medicine.
