Job Description

Domus have a unique and exciting opportunity for a specialist team manager to join an outstanding team providing support for those with mental health needs. My client is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of housing, care and support services across London and the South East.

The role will provide strong leadership within the facility and additionally supervise the services provided e.g. group work.

My client provides support to a wide range of people, including young people, people with mental health problems, ex-offenders, and people with substance misuse problems. They provide services to people through floating support, supported housing, mental health services and young people’s services.

The Role:

To take the management lead in offering a broad range of support to people with mental health and complex needs; to help them sustain their homes and to live in the community,
Recruit, support and supervise staff, setting and demanding professional standards of working.
Overseeing and developing effective working relationships with partners and commissioners, ensuring that One Support is contract compliant and a positive reputation of the service is maintained
Ensure the delivery of a quality service which reflects best practice and adheres to all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and performance standards.

Skills & Experience:

You will be someone who can hit the ground running

You will have a minimum of 2 years working experience supporting those with Mental Health conditions
Experience working in community settings therapeutically, including assessments, designing interventions and demonstrating outcomes.
Experience of developing clinical interventions for both staff and customers
You will have strong managerial experience either in a Residential or Supported Living setting
Knowledge and understanding of up to date legislation and government frameworks relevant to mental health
Sound knowledge and understanding of issues affecting individuals relevant to mental health
Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures for adults and children
Knowledge of health and safety issues in relation to mental health
Experience of assessment, risk management and support planning relevant to mental health
You will have good communication skills, relationship building skills and the ability to have difficult conversations
You will have or be willing to work towards your L5 in Health and Social care Management
Ideally you will be an RMN.

Salary: £29,000-£31,000
