Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

SPECIALITY DOCTOR IN DAY SERVICES
Full time - 10 sessions per week
Base: University Hospital Llandough, Cardiff

Applications are invited for a full time Specialty Doctor in Day Services within the Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) Directorate.

The post holder will work within a team of experienced staff within the Multi-Disciplinary Team setting and will be working closely with other MHSOP services. They will be primarily responsible for the medical assessment and management of patients at the Llandough, ARU Day Hospital, with input into the new Integrated Grand Avenue Day Service.

The working hours within this post are 09.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday. There are no on-call duties or out-of-hours responsibilities within this post.

Successful applicants will be expected to participate in administration, CPD, audit and teaching. Full registration with the General Medical Council is essential.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is a teaching UHB, being associated with the Cardiff University School of Medicine and there is, in addition, an active Postgraduate Department for Psychiatry based at University Hospital Llandough.
