Speech and Language Therapist Band 7 - Ashford, Kent - £38,376 - £42,295 per annum

Working hours: 37.5 per week

A highly experienced and skilled band 7 Speech and Language Therapist is required to join a service in Kent. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will be providing care and support to male and female adults (over 18 years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological condition.

Supportive team and managementDuties as a Speech and Language Therapist:

To take a senior role in Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) assessment and management of service users with communication (or swallowing disorders), maintaining high standards of clinical care and working with in a multidisciplinary team frame work
To take responsibility for the development and management of SLT service and staff
Ensure practice is evidence based where possible, using national SLT clinical standards
To ensure risk assessments and care plans are person centred, and support the team to provide safe, effective and evidenced interventions for the service user
To contribute to the Therapy department and Centre's service development as requested by the Lead Therapist and Registered Manager
To offer support to create best practice communicative environmentsRequirements of this Speech & Language Therapist role include:

You will hold a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and have extensive post qualified experience
Be a registered member of the RCSLT and HCPC
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
