Location: Basingstoke, Epsom & Frimley

Salary: up to £700 per day DOE (plus travel expenses)

Description: We are looking for highly specialised speech and language therapists who are trained and experienced in administering the ADOS to work as part of a multidisciplinary team carrying out autism spectrum disorder assessments for children and young people across the country.

Work is currently available in the following locations:

Basingstoke, Epsom & Frimley

Clinicians are required to see four children per day and will work as part of a pair with an ADOS trained Clinical Psychologist.  During the assessment, one of the clinicians will administer the ADOS whilst the other observes. The clinician who observes is required to write up the report.  Assessments are split equally so each clinician will observe two assessments and administer two assessments.  A Consultant Paediatrician or Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will also be involved in the process, completing the NICE compliant multidisciplinary team.  The doctor will usually be responsible for concluding the assessment and providing feedback to the family.

Full admin support is provided.

Clinicians are required to be sufficiently experienced and confident in administering and scoring the ADOS and have had reliability training within the last 1-2 years.  Whilst the clinic is fast paced, the provider of the service has a very high standard of quality which all clinicians are expected to adhere to.  Opportunities for supervision and CPD are provided and there is a positive and friendly ‘team’ atmosphere within these clinics.

Associates all work flexibly, usually around their substantive posts. There is work available 7 days a week.

Person Specification: All applicants must be registered with the HCPC
