We are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and caring registered mental health staff nurse to join our multidisplinary team that is dedicated and motivated about working with older people. Pyrland consists of two wards both of which offer assessment and treatment to older people with mental health problems in the whole of Somerset. Part of the role includes leading a team during the shift, providing evidenced based care to our clients and working collaboratively with our community team colleagues to ensure that the admission and discharge process is effective and evidence based.

Pyrland Ward is currently undergoing a refurbishment of the ward which will enhance the working environment and improve the living conditions of our client group. We have also been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Older Persons Inpatient Quality Improvement programme with the aim of eventually achieving accreditation status.
