We have an excellent opportunity for a Learning Disability Nurse to apply for this development post that provides structure and training to enable the successful candidate to meet the competencies of a band 6 Nurse. The post is a band 5 to 6 Staff Nurse / Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Intensive Support Team (IST) function in the East and North Community Assessment and Treatment Service, based at Saffron Ground, Stevenage.
The Intensive Support Team provides a rapid, time limited, community based assessment and treatment service for people with learning disability living in Hertfordshire, who challenge services and have additional mental health needs. IST seeks to provide an alternative, where appropriate, for Service Users to hospital admission, so as to minimise further disruption to their lives and to the people who care for them.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking Learning Disability Nurse to join the Intensive Support Team (IST) in East & North Hertfordshire based at Saffron Ground. The team has existing partnerships with other local health and social care services for people with learning disability. This post is full time, 37.5 hours a week, flexible over 7 days.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Border Agency requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post.
