Our client is one leading private hospital's based in Wiltshire. The hospital itself is situated on 14acres of beautiful landscaped parkland in a Grade II listed building.
They offer a wide range of services including Endoscopy, Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cosmetics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Vascular, Gynaecology, Urology and Cosmetics. The hospital itself has 32 inpatient bedrooms and a day case unit. The day cases are able to offer minor cases and Endoscopy. They also have a very sophisticated Theatre department equipt with laminar air flow.
We are currently looking to recruit some Staff Nurses to work at the hospital. Working as a staff nurse for this particular facility you would rotate between the wards and the day surgery. This enables you to get exposure to working across multiple specialties and different environments to really broaden your skill set.
Working alongside the Senior Staff Nurses on the ward you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all time. Your responsibility will cover all aspects of acute patient care, often including comorbidity and post-surgery recovery. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Part of your role will involve receiving patients from ICU and HDU and monitoring complex conditions. Working as part of the team you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff
To be considered for this role you will have at least one years' experience working in a medical or surgical setting. You will have experience with IV, Phlebotomy and Cannulation however training can be offered in certain areas if necessary to enthusiastic candidates. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. You will adapt easily to new situations and be able to build strong working relationships within the team.
