The Stroke unit at Stockport NHSFT is one of the best in the country and we need you to complement our exciting specialist service.

We are seeking registered nurses to join our Integrated Stroke Team. We specialise in providing holistic, high quality care to patients from Stockport and the surrounding areas who present with a stroke. From admission to HASU through to having longer term rehabilitation, we aim to provide the best care possible with close working relationships with the wider multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for highly passionate and motivated nurses that can provide the highest quality of care, helping our patients regain independence and function after their stroke and supporting them and their families/loved ones with the complexities of safe and effective discharge planning.

The post holders need to have an attitude based on strong nursing values and an overall commitment to provide patients and their families with care that is first and foremost based on a culture of compassion, professionalism, dignity and respect.

This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated, successful, and friendly team, in a time of exciting service development.

We welcome newly qualified applicants and we will provide you with a comprehensive Preceptorship Programme, and you will also be allocated a Mentor for the duration of the course. On joining the Trust you will be part of the Yellow Badge initiative, by wearing a yellow badge your colleagues will identify you as newly qualified staff nurse.
