We have a proven track record in stroke care as London North West Healthcare Hyper Acute Stroke Unit we provide expert Stroke care to patients in North West London. It is one of 8 London Hyper Acute Stroke Units. The unit was awarded BMJ Clinical Leadership Team for 2013 and also Research Team of the year 2012.

As a band 5 Registered Nurse you will work alongside a senior nursing leadership team and a dynamic multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing world class care within a HASU setting on the Northwick Park site.

With the support of a high performing senior management team and an excellent team of matrons we will work as a team prioritising Quality, Safety and experience of patients and staff alike.

You will be invited to actively participate in all aspects of the governance framework and encouraged to expand upon your skills to enable you to support your teams in the implementation of our ongoing care quality improvement strategy.

With people at the heart of all we do we work to ensure our teams are supported with professional development pathways and that they are valued and respected as individuals.

We are actively recruiting band 5 Nursing staff with the aim of supporting you to develop along your career pathway into the exciting world of Neurology Nursing. Providing rotational experience in all aspects of Hyper acute stroke care with access to professional development programs you will be supported to achieve your short and longer term aims.

As you develop there will be access to bespoke postgraduate courses, Mentorship, Stroke Management and Care both facilitated by Bucks New University and the Advanced Assessment skills for non-medical Practitioner, facilitated by University of West London. There are also fantastic opportunities for training and development including a unique Aspiring Ward Managers training programme. We have a strong belief in staff development and most of our senior posts are filled by promoting our own staff.

We have been very successful at maintaining great staff morale whilst supporting our teams to achieve our shared goals and vision and are therefore seeking applications from like minded individuals working to the same high standards.
