Holford Ward is a progressive Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), providing care for up to 10 male adults during the most acute stage of their recovery. We have recently undergone a major refurbishment to provide a purpose-built, modern, safe and comfortable environment for the people in our care.
We are able to offer you unique experience in specialist areas. We are based alongside 2 other acute mental health wards including older persons Mental Health, and we have an ECT Suite on the site. This creates an environment where you will have access to specialist knowledge and will be fully supported by your colleagues.
You will work closely with the Ward Manager and clinical leads in managing the inpatient ward, ensuring the provision and development of a growing, top quality service.
You’ll be dedicated to providing top quality care and remain confident, approachable and sensitive to the issues faced by people who are in the most acute and challenging phase of their recovery.
You will receive regular Supervision, Annual Appraisals and will be offered training opportunities to meet your Personal Development Plan. Each member of staff is given the opportunity to lead in an area of interest, such as Friends and Family or Medicines Management.
