We are looking for motivated and innovative Adult trained staff looking for a change to join our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Theatres team at Birmingham Children's Hospital Steelhouse Lane site.

Birmingham Children's Hospital is part of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWCH) and is the UK's leading specialist paediatric centre, caring for sick children and young people. The specialist centre has been rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission and is the first Children's hospital of its type in the country to receive such an accolade. Based in the heart of Birmingham city centre, the hospital is a world leader in some of the most advanced treatments, complex surgical procedures and cutting edge research and development.

As nominated Lead Centre for Paediatric care for the West Midlands, we care for a wide range of specialties including complex cardiac surgery and care, ECMO, Hepatology and Transplant Surgery, Medical, Oncology, Renal, General Paediatric surgery, ENT, Neurosurgery and we are also a major trauma center. Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a purpose-built 31 bed unit with the Theatres department having opened new facilities in Waterfall House which houses state of the art facilities. Set within a learning environment offering excellent comprehensive professional development opportunities, we have a high commitment to research and education.
