We offer the opportunity to work within a very dynamic, friendly and professional estates team, working on high profile, complex hospital environment which will support the Trust vision to and help improve the healthcare of patients within our Trust estates.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Estates and Facilities, you will lead and manage the work of the on-site estates team, ensuring that services are offered to the highest standard, run smoothly, efficiently and economically in a way which meets all regulatory requirements. Candidates must have significant senior level experience in a complex provider organisation.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working with multiple stakeholders to develop and deliver strategic operational estate plans, and of successfully managing operational performance across a complex range of services and property sites. Due to the nature of the role there will be opportunity to lead on efficiency initiatives across the Strategic Trust Partnership
The post holder will provide a professional managerial service on all engineering, building and related operational matters with direct responsibility for a professional and technical workforce, contracts and financial control of budgets. You will be a leader with ability to drive forward change and develop a strong team ethos with a highly experienced in-house estates workforce.
The successful candidate will need to have proven strong leadership capabilities in order to deliver significant improvements that will support the patient experience. You will also work with the other senior estates managers to formulate a 5 year rolling estates capital programme, and implementation plans to deliver estates sustainability strategy and targets.
You will have responsibility for leading and developing the estates teams on site and for the development of an efficient and reliable estate service together with the management of the estates hard facilities management infrastructure and the wider estates function, to provide a high quality, proactive and responsive service to the site. The ideal candidate will have a qualification in an engineering and electrical discipline, appropriate management qualification.
