Job Description



BFS Level A - Spot Point - £18,054 per annum/pro rata

POST 1 – 37.5 hours per week

POST 2 - 27 hours per week - PERMANENT


Barnsley Facilities Services (BFS) is a subsidiary company which is part of the Barnsley Hospital Group. BFS provides first class onsite estates, facilities and procurement services to Barnsley Hospital and the wider community.

We are looking for a self-motivated Supply Chain Assistant with experience of working in a busy goods receipting environment within a large organisation. 

You will provide comprehensive and efficient support to the BFS Procurement Team and to do this, you should have a working knowledge of Stock control computer systems and processes, reports, spreadsheet data etc.

You will have experience of Stock Management or Warehousing Administration  and Stock handling .

You will be expected to work to tight deadlines, with the ability to manage your own workload with limited supervision and the ability to change frequently between tasks.

You will also have Customer Service experience with good communication skills to support our aim to provide a high quality and responsive Purchasing and Supply Chain Management service.

DBS charges for adverts placed from 1st June are as follows:


Standard Check:    £26.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment

Enhanced Check:  £44.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £14.69 deduction from 1st months salary, £11.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
