Do you have experience in Microbiology across lab instruments and bioinformatics? Are you looking for a new challenge with a leading laboratory equipment manufacturer and distributor?

Our client are a diagnostics and equipment company who specialise in laboratory instrumentation within the Microbiology sector. Supplying a wide variety of company, they have grown extensively over the last few years. They pride themselves as pioneers of the market and continue to develop and grow to become a tried and tested provider. They are now looking to recruit for a Support Specialist across IT and informatics.

The suitable individual will be responsible for in-house technical support to customers across informatics and IT processes whilst keeping up to date and relevant with all software. You will look to configure equipment as well as complete pre-sale checks. IT support to other areas of the business will also for part of this person’s responsibilities. Furthermore, you will look at developing software interfaces and be a technical expert.

To be considered for the role you will need to have experience in a similar role working with bioinformatics and laboratory software solutions, expertise in bacteriology is highly beneficial. Experience of complaint handling under ISO conditions is important as well as experience of working in a customer-focused environment. You should also hold a degree in a related or similar discipline.
