We are a specialist care provider offering supported living for adults with learning difficulties, epilepsy, Autism and other additional needs.

We are currently recruiting for Support workers to join our small team in the Colchester area, we are looking for candidates who are naturally passionate about caring, reliable, take pride in their role and are able to promote independence whilst ensuring our workplace values remain at the heart of everything we do.

As one of our Support Workers you'll be responsible for delivering quality person-centred support and care day to day, this will include supporting and assisting with personal care, food prepping and meal times, helping our service users attend planned activities such as shopping, college, swimming, cinema. Interacting with service users at all times to promote independence and choice and ensure they are safe at all times, cleaning and record keeping. You should be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and contribute to a positive environment with a can-do attitude even during challenging periods.

What would we like to see in our applicants?

Ideally you should be able to demonstrate experience or a desire and understanding in supporting vulnerable adults and possess good communication skills and;

* be compassionate, with a caring nature

* a team player

* experience with Autism and challenging behaviours and a relevant qualification such as Care Certificate or Health and Social Care NVQ/QCF

* Current UK Driving licence (essential due to locations and activities)
