Key responsibilities of the Learning Disabilities Support Worker:

The Learning Disabilities Support Worker will oversee their own clients and must be familiar with learning disabilities and autism spectrum needs or similar even if on a personal basis. You must be commitment to providing quality care and support, with a passion to make a difference to vulnerable adults lives. You will also be involved in assisting with personal care, activities, in-house and in the community.

About the service:

Our blue chip care provider are seeking Learning Disabilities Support Workers to be based either in Fareham or Bedhampton, Hampshire, to join the care and support team at our new Supported Living Services where they will provide care and support to those with Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Associated Complex Behaviours.  

About the role:

You will operate within one supported living and work in a local community setting, providing hands on personal care to the service users you support, so you can expect to have total involvement with everything they do. No day is the same.

Day Shifts for Support Workers – core hours between 7am and 10pm, some 12 hour shifts, some earlies and lates, alternate weekends and some sleep ins.

Night shifts for Support Workers could be 8pm to 8am and 10pm to 8am, you must be flexible.

Are you an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker, now wanting a fresh start in the new year to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and complex needs and help them achieve their goals.

If you are an applicant with just personal experience in care and now want to start a career in Learning Disabilities support work, this will also be considered for this role as full training will be provided.
