We are looking for a complex care health care support worker to support a client in the community in their own home. The client has a Head Injury and a spinal injury and associated conditions including autonomic dysreflexia. You must be able to drive a manual vehicle.
The shift patterns are 12 hour day shifts & 12 Hour waking night shifts on a rota basis.
You are required to support with all activities of daily living including :
Personal care, bowel management, catheter management, administration of medication and management of skin integrity
Moving and handling support:
Hoisting, passive movements, stretches, using a sleep system, taking the client to physiotherapy appointment's and supporting the client with hydrotherapy sessions
Shopping, meal preparation and supporting the client to eat and drink.
Training will be provided for ABI awareness and the complications
Support with caring for the clients son and collecting him from school, spending time with the clients family on days out. The client also has a dog in the home and support with walking, feeding and caring for the dog is required.
