About the Role:
Due to new business in the Urmston, Stretford and Flixton areas of Trafford, Voyage Care are recruiting support workers for our new supported living services in these areas. Here, you will be supporting adults with a variety of different needs including complex healthcare needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours.
As a superhero "Support Worker" you will deliver intense support with all aspects of everyday living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities.
Whilst no two days are the same typically, you'll help the people we support with everyday challenges such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments, maintaining relationships and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the people we support.
You must be resilient, flexible and composed in your approach as this will be a challenging environment to work in, although equally rewarding. You will understand the importance of reflective practice and be involved in debriefs and incident analysis to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individual.
Due to the needs of the individual you will be supporting previous experience in the care sector.
We have full time, part time and bank positions available to work a variety of different shifts including, earlies, lates, sleeps and waking night shifts.
